Ingredients Serves 9
- 8-9 potatoes
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- 1.5 tsp italian herbs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1.5 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Wash and peel potatoes. Cut them into thin slices using a mandoline slicer or regular potato peeler.
In a small bowl combine 5 tablespoons of olive oil, 1.5 teaspoon of italian herbs spice mix, 1.5 teaspoon of garlic powder (or 1/3 tsp asafoetida), 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper. Mix well.
Mаke а row of 9-10 pаrtiаlly overlаpping slices аs shown in the picture. Brush some seasoning over the row of potato slices.Start rolling from the first slice, holding them tight with your hands.
You will get a beautiful rosebud.
Set the rose into a muffin cup, holding with one hand and adding more slices around it until the rose sits tight and don't loose.
Make all the 9 roses, brush the tops with more seasoning.
Place into preheated to 400F/200 C degrees oven and bake 25-30 minutes until golden-brown.
