Ingredients Serves 1 - 2
- 2 bananas
- 4 dates
- 1.5 tsp raw cacao powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup almond (or soy) milk
Peel and slice 2 bananas, place the slices in a single layer on a flat surface and freeze for a couple of hours (or overnight).
Before making a smoothie, raise, pit and soak 4 dates for 20-30 minutes in order to make them soft. It's not necessary if you have a high-powered blender. Place the dates into a blender jar, process.
Add the frozen banana slices and blend until a smooth and creamy mixture is formed. Be patient, it may take some time.
Add 1.5 tablespoon of cacao powder, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and process to combine. Next, add a cup of almond (or soy) milk, blend again for 20-30 seconds.
This recipe makes one big glass of smoothie (about 14 fl. oz/400 ml).
