Strawberry Sweet Roll step-by-step recipe |
"These are the greatest dessert ever!! Absolutely delicious pieces of perfection, really! Delicate and naturally sweet raw vegan sweet roll, our family's favourite!"

Ingredients Serves 2

  • 1/4 cup raw cashews
  • 1/2 cup raw almonds
  • 1 tbsp oatmeal
  • 1 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 2.5 tbsp agave or mapple syrup
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 5-6 strawberries
  • 4 strips orange zest


  1. At first you need to grind the nuts, oatmeal and coconut in a blender.

  2. Next, transfer the nut powder into a separate bowl, add 2.5 tablespoons of agave/mapple syrup, pinch of salt and stir with a spoon until everything is well combined. Then form a ball shape with slightly wet hands and place it into a fridge for 20 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Slice the strawberries and then cut into sticks. Peel the orange zest using a vegetable peeler and cut into thin strips.

  4. To make a roll, we need a bamboo mat. Cover it with a plastic wrap to keep the bamboo from getting dirty. Remove nut mixture from the fridge and spread it evenly, forming 6-inch square layer.

  5. Place the strawberries and orange zest in line, starting on the near edge of the nut layer.

  6. Lift the edge of the mat and fold it over, touching the mat. Lift the mat

  7. and continue rolling. Place the roll into a freezer for 20 minutes. Before serving cut off the edges of the roll using a sharp knife, then cut the roll into halves and then each half into 3 equal pieces. Garnish each peace with shredded coconut and a slice of strawberry.
