Oladushki Pancakes

Oladushki Pancakes step-by-step recipe |
"These thick and fluffy pancakes will melt in your mouth! The recipe is very easy and you will need only 4 ingredients to cook an amazing breakfast for you and your family! "

Ingredients Serves 4

  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3-4 tbsp oil


  1. In a bowl stir together salt, sugar and dry yeast.

  2. Heat 1.5 cup of water until warm temperature (about 110F), pour it into a bowl and mix until all the ingredients are dissolved.

  3. Sift flour into the bowl.

  4. Whisk well until batter is smooth. Cover with a plastic wrap, place a bowl into a warm place and set aside for an hour.

  5. In a non-stick pan or a griddle heat up some oil over medium heat. Once heated, pour batter into a pan using a 1/4-cup scoop (2 tablespoons). Leave space between pancakes.

  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on the first side. When the bubbles start to form on the surface, it's time to flip the pancakes. Cook on the second side for 2 minutes, remove from the pan. Repeat with the remaining batter. Add some oil when required.

  7. Serve warm with your favorite jam or syrup. Garnish with fresh berries. Enjoy! The recipe yeilds about 12 pancakes.

The recipe is delicious but, the only thing is mine doesn't turn out smooth when I finish mixing it becomes thick....Do I need to add more water or did I must it too much?

Thank you Marianna! Well, this dough is not really liquid, it's quite thick. Probably you don't have to do anything, just try to fry as it is.
