Ingredients Serves 4

  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3-4 tbsp oil

Method

  1. In a bowl stir together salt, sugar and dry yeast.

  2. Heat 1.5 cup of water until warm temperature (about 110F), pour it into a bowl and mix until all the ingredients are dissolved.

  3. Sift flour into the bowl.

  4. Whisk well until batter is smooth. Cover with a plastic wrap, place a bowl into a warm place and set aside for an hour.

  5. In a non-stick pan or a griddle heat up some oil over medium heat. Once heated, pour batter into a pan using a 1/4-cup scoop (2 tablespoons). Leave space between pancakes.

  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on the first side. When the bubbles start to form on the surface, it's time to flip the pancakes. Cook on the second side for 2 minutes, remove from the pan. Repeat with the remaining batter. Add some oil when required.

  7. Serve warm with your favorite jam or syrup. Garnish with fresh berries. Enjoy! The recipe yeilds about 12 pancakes.
