Ingredients Serves 6
- 1 lb 3 oz/1 kg apples
- 1 cup drinking Greek yoghurt
- 1 cup semolina
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
Wash the apples, discard the cores and cut into pieces.
Preheat the oven to 350 F/180 C. To make a dough, mix greek yoghurt, oil, flour and semolina. Add sugar, vanilla sugar and salt, mix with hand whisk. Mix soda and lemon juice to cause a chemical reaction, then add to the dough and mix thoroughly.
Add the apples to the dough, mix well.
Grease the cake form with the oil, fill the form with the apple dough.
It will take 50-60 minutes to bake the pie. After 25 minutes, pool it out of the oven and garnish with the apple slices. Return the form to the oven.
Bake till the top of the pie is nicely browned. Check the donness of the pie with the toothpick. Slide it in and out of the pie. If there isn't any wet batter on the toothpick, then your charlotte is ready. Give it some time to cool and enjoy your wonderful apple pie with a cup of hot tea.
